Each account has one dot for now, so a kit sets up your existing dot rather than a new one. The kit is a zip with a README, the brief, and instructions you paste into a chat with your dot yourself. Each task has its own conversation and does not automatically get your other conversations with your dot, so include the guidance in the task where you need it. Custom Rules in ChatGPT set which supported actions your dot can take independently, which require your approval, and which it should not take, so the kit's sourcing and tone guidance goes in the task, not in Custom Rules.

Who can use it Dots are rolling out to Pro users aged 18 and older outside the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK, and to Business Premium users in supported regions, subject to workspace eligibility requirements. On Enterprise (including Edu and Healthcare), a workspace admin has to enable the beta, which is initially turned off by default. You can create your dot in the ChatGPT mobile app on iOS or Android, the desktop app, or on desktop web; mobile web is not supported.
