Overview
What it does
Usage Saver is a Grok Bot that helps you spend less of your plan's included usage.
You paste each bot's routines list. Usage Saver turns it into a table of estimated runs per week and estimated share per bot and routine. Then it proposes a settings playbook as a numbered list: daily or weekday cadence instead of hourly polling, webhook or narrow triggers, pausing routines that don't earn their keep, and shorter reports instead of re-reading long chats. Not yet tested on platform. If asking in chat doesn't work, open the bot's info pane (click its name in the chat header) and use its Routines list. It keeps a budget note per bot and posts a weekly usage digest in its own chat.
What you get: a download (zip) with the full bot setup to build it yourself in about 15 minutes, a manual audit worksheet, a settings playbook, and plain-language guides.
Status: Not yet run on Grok Bot. Built from xAI's Grok Bot docs and changelog and the Cursor and xAI usage pages (docs checked 2026-10-25).
Estimates, not measurements: the usage pages show your seat's or account's usage and the reset date, but no per-bot or per-routine figure: at grok.com/dashboard under Usage on Premium, Super or Ultra (where Grok Bot, the Grok apps and Grok models in Cursor share one weekly pool), or in Settings > Usage & Billing (this tab only shows on some accounts) on legacy Cursor plans and linked subscriptions. Usage Saver estimates each routine's share from schedules and run size and labels those numbers as estimates. It only sees routines, not your other Grok or Cursor use.
Who it is for: people running several Grok Bots with routines whose weekly usage runs out faster than expected.
What it never does: it never deletes, pauses, or edits a bot or routine without your explicit OK. It never touches your plan or billing, never asks for passwords or keys, and never sends email or Slack messages.
- Fleet audit table: estimated runs per week and estimated share per bot and routine
- Settings playbook proposed as a numbered list you approve item by item
- Ready-to-paste "Edit your routine" messages for your other bots. Not yet tested on platform. If asking in chat doesn't work, open the bot's info pane (click its name in the chat header) and use its Routines list.
- Per-bot budget notes kept in the bot's memory
- Weekly usage digest routine (Mondays) and a monthly re-audit reminder
- Three skills: Fleet audit, Cadence playbook, Usage digest
- Build-by-hand guide, manual audit worksheet, and settings playbook

| Requirements | Not yet run on Grok Bot. Requires a plan that includes Grok Bot: Premium, Super or Ultra on The X Subscription (not Plus or Free); legacy Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra or Teams; a linked SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription; or an assigned seat on a self-serve Grok Business plan. Delivered as a download only: you build the bot yourself from the kit in the Grok Bot app. Uses your plan's included usage, which resets weekly. On Premium, Super or Ultra it shares one weekly pool per seat with the Grok apps and Grok models in Cursor (check grok.com/dashboard under Usage); on legacy Cursor plans and linked subscriptions it is a weekly usage limit, shown in Settings > Usage & Billing (this tab only shows on some accounts). No apps or plugins needed. Per-bot and per-routine usage figures are estimates from routine schedules; the usage pages show your seat's or account's usage and the reset date, but no per-bot or per-routine figure. The bot checks its routines on first use and offers to create any that are missing. The kit holds no logins or conversation history. To pause, resume, change, or delete a routine, ask the bot in chat. Not yet tested on platform. If asking in chat doesn't work, open the bot's info pane (click its name in the chat header) and use its Routines list. On Teams or Enterprise plans, your team's settings apply. |

Changelog
- 1.1.02026-10-25Usage counting updated from the Cursor and xAI usage pages (checked 2026-10-25): one shared weekly pool on Premium, Super or Ultra, weekly limit on legacy plans, the right usage page per plan, a per-routine estimate method and a comparison with the free Alfred template. Not yet run on Grok Bot. 2026-10-25 fixes: the shared-pool quote is now cited to xAI's pricing page; the Alfred comparison says Alfred is listed in the marketplace by Robin Delta; the usage pages are described as showing your seat's or account's usage but no per-bot or per-routine figure; the disclaimer now also names X Corp., Anysphere (Cursor) and Robin Delta (maker of Alfred).
